Audiology

An Audiologist is a professional who specialises in evaluating and treating people with hearing loss. Audiologists have extensive training and skills to evaluate the hearing of adults, infants and children of all ages. They conduct a wide variety of tests to determine the exact nature of an individual’s hearing problem. and present a variety of treatment options to patients with hearing impairment.

Audiologists dispense and fit hearing aids, administer tests of balance to evaluate dizziness, and provide hearing rehabilitation training. Audiologists refer patients to physicians when the hearing problem needs medical or surgical evaluation.

Eastbrooke Medical Centres do not perform these specialised testing services, however various external Hearing Clinics are available and are located within the centre premises of some of our clinics.

Audiology testing is only available in relation through our pre-employment assessments at Eastbrooke Medical Centres. If you have concerns about any hearing related issues, please ask your Eastbrooke doctor.
